ASPIRE HIGHER INSTRUCTIONAL SOFTBALL CLINICS - FIRST ROUND CLINIC/TRYOUTS
• Clinics are for athletes of all skill levels who want to better their game.
• Learn from former college coaches and athletes.
• Lead instructors are retired college coaches Sheilah Gulas, Ashland University and Karen Linder, KSU.
INSTRUCTION: Hitting, base running, footwork, throwing, fielding, and position work.
If you are trying out for the USA 12U region 2 All-American Games Team, there is a one-time $25 fee that includes a USA softball shirt.
Athletes can attend the clinic without trying out for the All-American Games.
CLINICS ARE LIMITED IN THE NUMBER OF ATHLETES THAT CAN PARTICIPATE IN EACH SESSION

Pitchers/Catchers 9:30 a.m. - 12:15 p.m.
Infielders/Outfielders 1:00 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.

CONFIRMATION FOR THE DUBLIN 10U/12U CLINIC AND USA TRYOUT FOR THE 12U ALL-AMERICAN GAMES
Thanks for signing up for the Aspire Higher Clinic and USA Region 2 team tryout on June 29th at Brookside West Park in Ashland, Ohio. The clinic is being co-sponsored by Mannino’s Grand Slam. Please understand that the clinic and tryout are being held at the same time. The athletes who are trying out are being evaluated during the clinic.

If your primary position is a pitcher or catcher you should come for the early session which will start at 9:45 a.m. and be over approximately 12:15 p.m. If your secondary position is pitching and catching and you want instruction you need to come to the first session. Check in will start at 9:20 a.m. Pitchers and catchers will be able to work at other positions during the clinic.
If you are an infielder or outfielder you will need to check in at 12:40 p.m. Your session will start at 1:00 p.m. and be over by approximately 3:30 p.m.
Please bring with you your softball gear including glove, mask, bat, helmet, and catching gear if you are a catcher. I would also suggest you bring water to drink and hand sanitizer. We will have sanitizer as well. We also suggest that you have a facial mask for your protection to wear when not participating on the field, but it is not mandatory. You may wear a uniform top, rubber cleats and or bring tennis shoes.
Those athletes that are participating in the USA tryout for the Region 2 team for the All-American Games will get a number to wear during the clinic and will receive a USA Softball shirt. Unfortunately we have run out of small sized shirts. We are re-ordering them and will send it to you once we get them. We do have youth larges and adult large and XL. We will re-order smalls and mediums. Aspire Higher t-shirts are also available for purchase or available in place of the USA shirt.
Tryout participants will be evaluated during the clinic. Top athletes will be invited to a final tryout that will take place in Alliance, Ohio on July 6th. The All-American Games are in OKC in August. More information on the games can be found on the following web sites: wwwusasoftballallamericangames.com and www.aspirehighersports.com.
Parents you must sign a USA Softball Covid Waiver and an Aspire Higher Waiver (you signed it on the web site when you signed up) prior to your child’s participation. This includes taking their temperature and answering the following questions. The waiver is attached and we ask you to bring a copy with you. If you cannot print it, I will have copies at the field. If you are showing any of the below listed signs we will give you a full refund. We must collect this information before your daughter can participate. Please be prepared to answer these questions on the waiver.
